Help me give my students notebooks and pens to write stories and share what they know about their world. A good story might be a real tearjerker, so a box of Kleenex tissues is essential too!
My students arrive at school excited and eager to learn. They are curious about their world and love learning through reading, writing, and fun, hands-on activities. Our school is in a small rural community filled with students yearning to discover new things. Our students missed coming to school daily and cannot wait to rejoin friends and teachers at school!
Educating a child is all about providing knowledge, offering opportunities, guiding collaboration, accommodating societal shifts, and nurturing relationships.
As a teacher, it is my passion to do whatever I can to allow all of my students to learn through unique experiences. Often they simply need a catalyst to inspire them and they will exceed expectations. My job as their teacher is to find the sparks to help them discover their talents and the opportunities to grow!
My Project
Every day in first grade, we read and write. My students need good notebooks to write their own stories and share their visions of the world! The notebooks will also be used so students can respond to the literature they read in first grade. The requested composition notebooks, with room for illustrations, will allow my students to develop their writing skills. The writing notebooks become a place for them to record their ideas and reflect upon their own work.
Through writing opportunities, students are able to express themselves often validating their feelings.
Students cherish the writing time and opportunities to share their stories. The notebooks are essential for them to have a place to record their ideas. These books become a time capsule showing their growth and often give them a chance to share a piece of themselves. With pens, they will be able to revise and edit their own work. As the year progresses, they will be able to take pride in their growth and have their own book with writings to treasure!
