My students need composition paper, crayons, markers, folders, pencils and a pencil sharpener as well as headphones to begin the next school year. These kinds of supplies will help us start our year off right.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students at my school are awesome! These students come to school each and every day ready to learn despite their family hardships and living arrangements! They may have struggles but they try their hardest to overcome these struggles to become our stars to success.
My school is located in a neighborhood that faces many difficulties on a daily basis.
It is a poverty stricken neighborhood at the LES.
My school is a Title I school and 98% of students receive free lunches daily. Even though these students are moving around a lot and being cared for by different guardians and caretakers, they still make it to school each day. The school is most students’ safe haven where they can be themselves and enjoy learning.
My Project
When students come in at the beginning of the school year, we want them to be ready to start. Although some of our parents try their hardest to send them in with some supplies, there will always be some students who come to school without the necessities to be prepared to learn. It always helps to have supplies in the class. If the classroom is packed with everything they need, then my students will have one less thing to worry about. Donations for the project will help my students immensely.
These supplies are crucial to their learning.
The headphones will be used for their new literacy programs on the computers. Our students will gain access to online programs that will help them grow, but the headphones are needed. The other supplies I am asking for such as composition paper, pencils, crayons, sharpener, and markers will all be used daily in our classroom in all subjects.
