My Project
The Employment Team at our school is launching the STARS Mobile Library to empower our high school students at the STARS building. This unique initiative will teach crucial work-based skills while bringing the joy of reading directly to every classroom.
Our STARS students will gain hands-on job experience by managing a mobile library cart, delivering books throughout the school.
This will provide invaluable opportunities to:
Develop Job Skills: Students will learn organization, time management, responsibility, and the proper handling of materials.
Enhance Social Interaction: Regular, positive interactions with teachers during deliveries will build confidence and improve communication skills.
Practice Record-Keeping: Students will learn to utilize a simple book check-out system, fostering accountability and basic administrative skills.
