My Students
The middle school band program is growing faster than we can get them supplies. We are excited to get students involved in music and teaching them a skill they can use for the rest of their lives. While learning to play their instruments, the students are learning important life skills such as time management, dedication, and how to work with others. When they put all of these skills together, they learn to have fun playing music! At the middle school, we have a beginning band and an advanced beginning band made up of seventh and eighth graders that have won several awards at concert assessment and festivals.
Our middle school band students are very dedicated to our band program.
They work hard almost year around to learn their instrument and several other skills such as teamwork and marching fundamentals. We have a competitive marching band in the fall that supports our football team as well as goes to contests around the state. We also have a pep band that supports our basketball teams. In the spring, we have our concert band that competes in concert assessment as well as festivals outside the state.
My Project
We were blessed to receive 24 new stands this year through gracious donors. Now we need somewhere to keep those stands so that they're not out in the way in the band hall and to help move them around in the building.
Our students are learning a life long skill through learning to play music on their instrument.
To make room in our band room for our growing band program, we are needing something to store our new music stands on. This stand cart would make an excellent place to keep the stands and to keep them out of the way of the students when they're not being used to help keep them from getting broken and to keep students from hurting themselves on them.
