My students need standing desks to help them focus on learning while moving.

My Students
Typically, I have around 25-30 students. I teach 5th grade, and my students typically do not have the best home lives. Most of my students come from homes that are struggling financially. A majority of my students come from single-parent homes.
As a result of my students' home lives, I make my classroom become a family.
I help my students become secure with themselves and learn how to respect others. My students are grateful for everything they are given. Everyday I give them animal cookies and they say, "Thank you," every day.
My Project
Kids love to move, and we have to help them make moving a positive thing. Every year at the end, I give my students a survey asking them what can be done better next year. A few of my students suggested something to get us up and moving more. Throughout the day I always give my students 2 brain breaks, but sometimes it does not seem like enough. Having standing desks in my classroom will help students move and learn at the same time.
Each student will have the opportunity to use the standing desks everyday.
If the student chooses not to use it, that is their choice. After I read that on the survey I asked my students if I had them, how many of them though they would use it. Every hand shot up. I even had my most active student raise his hand and tell me he thinks it would have helped him stay focused during the times he wanted to drift off. Students have the hardest time focusing during independent times such as reading, writing, and math. I will assign the standing desks to certain students who I know struggle during these times.
