A lot of my students do not have the financial ability to purchase books to read. They also have had a rough two years with covid and not being in an actual classroom setting. Pair this with the fact that a large number of them have ADD or other movement issues it is hard for them to set still in a classroom.
These standing desks will allow them to stand when they are having a hard time sitting and allow them to be able to focus better.
The stools will give them the option to sit when and if they feel ready to. I have added science books to this project to allow them to read and learn about science topics we will cover at the same time.
