My students need to move! These desks will allow my students breaks from sitting in their desks and will make for a more successful day!

My Students

We are rocking and rolling in our classroom! Movement is key for my students learning and they need more opportunities to do this! Our classroom philosophy is we are here to learn how to think not to just learn facts and these alternative desks will allow us to focus more on our learning!

My students are amazing human beings!

We are on the outskirts of Detroit and are considered a Title One school meaning a school with high needs. Our classroom has one third of the students who receive special education services. Through the different diversities they face, my students still strive to do their best both in school and outside of it! We love learning and having new experiences!

My Project

These standing desks will allow my students to move and exert energy so they are better able to focus! The students will be able to take turns standing while they are working which will help with their concentration. I also feel that it will allow my students with attention disorders to be more independent with work completion as they will be able to get their wiggles out!

Standing desks will dramatically improve my classroom and students' performance!

By allowing for productive movement in the classroom, the students will be able to able to better focus on what we are learning! With so many diversities in my students' lives, this will help them overcome their attention issues and help them to be better prepared for the future!
