This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students receive more career certifications at the local trade college than any other school. They are eager to learn and then join the world as productive members of society.
Our students are full of resiliency.
They strive to make a better life for themselves in the present and into the future.
We have a beautiful mountain range and a history that is unique to the state and it sets the backdrop for us each day. Our students have many life-altering challenges to face, but continue to push through. Our student population is one of the most impacted populations in our state. With a very high level of students participating in the free or reduced-price lunch program, there can be many challenges to learning that many other students don't even have to consider.
But we have an outstanding faculty, administration, and support staff that work tirelessly to help our students succeed and do their best. We embrace our vision and growth in Academics, Citizenship, and Extra-Curricular Activities.
My Project
Our music stands have served us well. We have gotten many, many years and miles out of them. But now, some of our music stands are going past the point of repair, while others we have had to discard entirely.
Your donation will allow us to purchase 12 new music stands that will be used by our band, orchestra, jazz band, bagpipe corps, and choral groups.
As we strive to grow our program, it will be a great help to have proper working equipment so that students can focus on making and feeling the music, rather than finding the music stand that stays upright.
