This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are deep thinkers that apply themselves in every lesson. They give their best in every assignment, and truly produce quality work. They are engaged in each lesson, and enjoy coming to school every day. They are charismatic, and love cultural experiences such as music and art. This group of open-minded students display such a beautiful harmony in working together. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing group of students. They deserve everything that I am hoping to supply them with.
My Project
Imagine a learning environment where you're not chained to your seat all day. Students everywhere have an "assigned seat". In my classroom, my students have a daily choice in where they feel they will learn best. We practice a concept called Flexible Seating.
Having a stand up desk added to our classroom's flexible seating options would allow an option that helps active students stay engaged.
not everyone prefers to sit down for long periods of time. With some students, standing is a much better option. Rather than focusing their energy in staying seated, they are able to focus on learning.
