This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My middle school students ask questions. I want them to be able to have access to me whenever possible to clarify what they don’t know. Students have natural intelligence but sometimes lack the self discipline to focus that intelligence. I am here to help them improve.

As a science teacher, I make sure to include extra-curricular activities, which help students gain confidence and improve their academic success.

Most importantly, I want my students to trust me and our classroom community.

My Project

I would like to have a standing teacher desk in my classroom to aid in my teaching. When my students take notes, or when a lesson is being conducted, I am at the front of the room, under my document camera. If I had a standing desk in the front of the room, I would be able to remain standing, while using my technology, at all times. This will help in classroom management, since more students will be visible to me more of the time.

It will also guarantee the classroom has more energy and productivity.
