Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The use of the standing desk (with the teachers document camera on top) will give students ownership of their work. Using the gradual release model in all subject areas, students come to the standing desk with the document camera to show their work and give glows and grows to each other.
Since we have students of different heights, the standing desk can be adjusted to meet the needs of all the students.
The standing desk allows us to see if students are doing grade level work or if they need assistance in certain skills or subject areas. The standing desk will provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. By having this available to all students they can take pride and ownership in their work.
