Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 1st and 2nd grade self-contained class includes a diverse group of children, with diverse needs. Because of the different needs within the one classroom, small group instruction is essential. My paraprofessionals and I have been very creative with small group instruction, but students benefit from viewing slides, videos and pictures due to different learning styles. By having the LG StandByMe digital touch screen in the classroom, not only would the paraprofessionals be able to use it, but it will be used during whole group instruction when something is being displayed on the SmartBoard, and a student needs to see something else in order to complete their work. This will help my paraprofessional lead the lessons in a more fluid way with rigor and engagement.
With the LG StandbyMe, my team will be able to utilize the same digital resources I use during lessons to provide students with the materials and support required for successful acquisition of skills and concepts.
Students will be able to view different resources and the same slides that I am using on the SmartBoard all while being instructed in a small group.
The LG StandbyMe will provide students with engaging and interactive presentations for all subject areas. With the touch screen technology, students can actively participate in discussions, group activities, and presentations by directly interacting with the screen. The LG StandByMe digital touch screen also allows for students to be engaged during instruction and motivates students to want to learn.
