This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from varied backgrounds in a Title 1 school. During the Distance Learning my students will be online for learning and will also have time to complete work offline. Students come from home that speak more than one language and need materials that give them equity in education.

My Project

Our school will begin the year with Distance Learning, and I am asking for donations for a desk for my house.

I am use to standing and walking around the classroom, now I am sitting at a desk all day.

At standing desk will help me be more comfortable to teach remotely. The desk would allow me to have a monitor level with my whiteboards in my home office to ensure the students can see the boards. During the Spring Distance Learning I was using my ironing board but would love a standing desk to replace it.
