This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, creative, and thoughtful my 4th-grade students are. They ask big questions about fairness, justice, and why the world is the way it is. Many of them are bilingual, the children of immigrants, and come from families who have faced racism and injustice. Every day, they bring their stories, their courage, and their dreams into our classroom.

This project will give us a classroom set of Stamped (for Kids) so every student can read together and participate in meaningful conversations about racism, identity, and antiracism.

With these books, students will learn history in a way that’s honest, age-appropriate, and empowering. Journals will give them space to reflect, write, and connect what they learn to their own lives. Post-it notes and chart paper will help us have interactive discussions, sharing ideas and building understanding together.

These resources will create a classroom where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to make a difference.
