My students need different sets of color ink stamp pads, along with various stamp manipulatives which concentrate on letters and literacy.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. H.'s classroom raised $371
This project is fully funded
I am a first grade teacher at a rural south Mississippi school. We come from a very close knit community, that like most small town are growing way too fast.
I am challenged every day with finding a way to grab the attention of 20 energetic and lively six year old children. As a teacher it is hard to compete for each child's attention in a video game enhanced world.
One day after being frustrated with once again trying to get the students to write good telling sentences about a drawn pictures, I discovered an old set of letter stamps. I had the students stamp the sentence instead of write it. With that one small change in activity I struck gold! They loved the center. Better than that, I had wonderful sentences. It was much more fun to stamp then write.
With the supplies requested we will be able to expand on this center extensively. We will be able to not only stamp our sentences and make our pictures more alive however, we will be able to stamp rhyming words and beginning sounds.
Your help will make it possible for us to establish a complete stamping center. We will be able to create much more enjoyable projects with the use of bright ink, paper, and story starting stamps.
