My Students

Imagine if you could bring imagination to life! My goal as an art teacher is to teach students to LOVE art! I need your help to get art supplies to create a stained glass art project. Thank you for your support in the arts in education!

My students come from high poverty, low income families.

The school is also Title I, high poverty, low income. We are limited with art supplies. These students need to be able to do art in order to succeed in the academic areas. The best way for students to be creative and successful in school is to provide them with a positive learning environment. Please help me bring art to a wonderful group of students who deserve to feel good about school!

My Project

My students need markers, aluminum foil, and plastic acetate sheets to make a stained glass art project! My students will do a stained glass art project with the materials I requested. They will learn about the history of stained glass, and use their imagination to create a design. Students will be able to use the materials to simulate stained glass. They will be able to feel like a real artist and get to use good art materials. Students will also learn about composition and balance. They will also learn about color and how to choose colors that work well together. Thank You for supporting this project!

The donations will improve the art classroom because students will have materials that work.

They can feel good about making art because they will be able to have a variety of media. They will also be able to see that you can make art out of anything. Students will be able to be successful in the classroom when they have the ability to see that they CAN do something well. They can also benefit from this project because they will learn about the history of stained glass.
