My Project
In our kindergarten classroom, we work every day to build not only academic skills, but also the social-emotional tools that help young children thrive. I am requesting a class set of Speed Stack cups to introduce an engaging activity that supports both mental wellness and physical development.
Speed stacking is more than just a fun game.
It encourages focus, hand-eye coordination, patience, and perseverance. These are essential skills for our young learners, many of whom are still developing self-regulation and coping strategies. By incorporating cup stacking into our daily routine, students will have an outlet that reduces stress and anxiety, provides a mental break, and promotes a sense of accomplishment. Whether used during brain breaks, indoor recess, or structured group challenges, Speed Stack cups will help us build confidence, cooperation, and joy—one stack at a time!
In kindergarten, mental health often looks like learning how to wait your turn, manage frustration, or celebrate small successes. Activities like Speed Stacking help children build those skills in a playful, non-competitive way. With your support, we can bring this powerful, fun, and developmentally appropriate activity to our classroom—and help our students stack their way to stronger minds and healthier hearts. I am also requesting hand sanitizer and spray bottles for clean hands and tables and a crossbody bag to hold essentials like band-aids and tissue during recess.
