My Project
It may seem like just another block or cup, but using both to build a structure increases younger students' math and literacy skills. Cups for stacking and magnetic blocks encourages students to match, count, and sort. Playing with blocks helps children develop their vocabularies, and social skills and even teaches them about gravity, balance, and geometry.
It may seem like playtime but building blocks and cups increase math and reading literacy.
Additionally, when students work with a partner to build a structure, students improve in social learning as they listen, share, and cooperate together. Finally, not only will the blocks be used in my classroom, I'll also incorporate building blocks and cups stacking into a future after-school family night that encourages family support for students' academic success.
