This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class have been using a small student table as a computer table. However, this year we will have a physically disabled student who'll join our class with few challenges. We need a mobile computer table that would accommodate access for our new friend as well as other students.

I teach at a wonderful, multi-cultural, public school located in the San Fernando Valley.

We are a Title One school, and many of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. My class includes students that are both English and non-English speakers, as well as students with disabilities. All of my students enjoy working on the computer. We like to create self-portraits, make cards, and play educational games.

My Project

During our center time, my students run to the computer center because they want to be the first one to sit in front of the monitor. The challenge is trying to cram four students in a tight space with equal access. A durable computer table would really help our kindergarten students to move easily around the table with plenty of space. This wipe-clean laminate table is perfect for our dirty hands. It has spacious room to fit students to work in a cooperative learning group. Since it also has wheels to move from one place to another, it will be perfect. It even includes the bottom shelf that is big enough for a printer to be stored!
