Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As part of my Stem project, my students' creations will come to life as they use the squishy circuits with LEDs. In addition, my students will understand the concept of circuits while doing fun activities such as building buzzers and realizing how a motor works.
The students will investigate open and closed circuits and understand what happens when you turn the lights on or off.
They will also understand why some lights seem brighter than others. They will look at motors and see what happens when you put the batteries one way and what happens if they put in another way.
Squishy circuits is great for this because it uses circuit-building materials to teach simple concepts of electivity. Using AA battery packs the students will see how electricity is delivered through the conductive dough and powers the LEDs, Buzzers, and or motors.
