Help me give my students squid dissection materials our class needs to broaden their understanding of how cells ultimately form organisms, how organisms have adaptations necessary for survival, ecosystem interaction, and animal classification.

My Project
My students love hands-on learning (which kids don't, right?), but after a few years of COVID, they're previous science class experience wasn't so hands-on or existent in past grades. I have several students who are aspiring scientists or ones that have the dream of entering the medical field.
Think back to the things you learned when you were in elementary or middle school.
Do you remember a specific day you learned the order of operations in math class? How about the day you learned about the meaning of a verb or pronoun? Chances are that unless a special event was tied to the learning, it has fallen to the wayside. I am wanting to make a memorable moment that my students will remember for a lifetime. As for myself, there are few specifics I remember. However, I can tell you one thing, I surely remember the time I dissected a cow's eye in 3rd grade, a squid in 6th grade, and a fetal pig in 11th grade. So while the main items on my wish list are disposable at the end of the day, the memories and educational lessons are ones the children will always remember, and in my view, that is what counts when we are looking at developing young minds who will fulfill future occupations.
This activity will be used with lessons on how cells form tissues/organs/systems/ and organisms. Students will be taught the function of various organs and systems within the squid and how it relates to other organisms. We will cover details about the ecosystem in which a squid lives and relate it to other ecosystems. We will cover the various adaptations that a squid has for survival, how it compares/contrasts to other animal species, and we will discuss how squid are classified in terms of animal classification.
