My Students

My prekindergarten students are an amazing group of students who are smart, curious , creative, highly motivated and eager to learn while playing. At the end of each school day I have the task of sweeping the carpets so that it would be clean and ready for the next day. This year my student’s classroom is desperately in need of a vacuum to help keep the classroom carpet clean.

My students enjoy sitting on the carpets building, sharing and expressing the creativity through okay.

My Project

The use of a vacuum in my classroom would be a valuable resource to have for the upcoming school year. During the school year of 2018-2019 I found myself spending at least 35 minutes each day using a broom to sweep the rugs at the end of the school day. This task has been difficult and time consuming as well as exhausting. This upcoming school year I would like to spend less time completing this task. Therefore having access to a vacuum would help keep my classroom clean and ready for my students the following day. It would let students know that I am providing a clean and inviting environment where they can play, explore and express their creativity while sitting on the rugs with friends. Ultimately my goal is to let students know that the classroom is a home away from home.
