This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first grade ENL (English as New Language) classroom is a place where students are allowed to take chances and explore who they are while learning the English language. They get excited to learn English and take pride in their efforts to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My English Language Learners are not only learning how to communicate in English but they are also learning how to identify everyday objects. I would like to create a care package for them where they begin to care for their body.
In a world where we want to remain germ-free, as much as we possibly can, I would like to gift my students with daily products.
My students will learn to verbally identify items that can assist them to keep away the germs. Of course, every care package should include a snack or two.
