Help me give my students hygiene products like soap, lotion, hand sanitizer, disposable toothbrushes, and calming strips, so they feel confident and ready to learn.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the only school counselor for over 600 outstanding students. Ninety percent of our students are Latino, and 76% are from low-income families. About 11% of our students are considered special needs. Our bright and creative students come from hard-working, loving families that want to see their children succeed.
Good hygiene is critical for preventing the spread of illnesses resulting in better learning outcomes, better attendance, and a boost to students' self-esteem.
Good personal hygiene is a basic necessity of life and an essential part of staying healthy. Having Accessposable toothbrushes, soap, travel-sized hand sanitizer, and chapstick means that our students will have what they need to take care of themselves, feel good, and be ready to learn. The calming stickers are perfect for students who need to build confidence and reduce stress and anxiety.
