Sprucing Up Global Visions Entrepreneurship Program

My project needs various business and inspirational books for the class library.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. McClendon's classroom raised $177

This project is fully funded

Global Visions Academy Entrepreneurship Program for the 2007-08 school year begins with the sophomore class Business Technology. In order to prepare our current students for the junior year course Small Business Ownership I, we must increase their business vocabulary and understanding. To meet this goal we are in need of classroom resources. We currently have a classroom library, but this library is limited to general business information. We feel that it lacks relevance to our students. As an inner city school we try to have reading material that is engaging to our students. In addition, the library lacks inspirational readings about business success. Our students need reading materials that has entrepreneurs and business people who have similar cultural experiences as themselves. Below are the behavioral outcomes we hope to accomplish, as a result of the additional reading material in the classroom library. Students will understand and recognize business principles in real life scenarios Students will appreciate the history of business from a cultural perspective Students will recognize determination and motivation from current business people and entrepreneurs While we understand that this information can be retrieve from other media such as the Internet, we feel that it is important for our students to engage in book reading to prepare themselves for other classes and college. Your help will be greatly appreciated, and a vital instrument in providing real life experiences to our current classroom library.
