Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Using incentives such as stickers, chapter books, and whiteboard materials encourages students to participate in their learning!
Students' learning is enhanced when having the necessary materials to motivate them to participate in the learning process.
They become engaged in the lesson at hand and participate whether it is learning to write words during spelling, phonics, math lessons, or other lessons especially when using whiteboards. If whiteboards are used, then having necessary accessories such as markers, erasers, and at times personal space using privacy boards, lends students to engage in their learning.
Having a variety of book selections will also motivate my students to complete tasks and read upon finishing. These incentives will again not only engage and motivate my kids but allow them to become a collaborators in their learning as well.
