Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is almost that beautiful time of the year where things start to grow and change! What better way to note these changes by plant growth and observations.
In first grade we will soon begin our plants and animals unit where we will observe and grow our very own sunflower plants.
Our classroom is in need of materials to help facilitate this plant exploration unit. Mammoth sunflower seeds will help us begin the beautiful process. The construction paper will be used for our colorful plant observations and plant-inspired art projects through the spring. We will store all our observations and projects in our own plant portfolios that we will share with our families at Open House at the end of the school year. My first graders are so excited for this!
