Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students love creative opportunities. These hammers, wood, and embroidery floss will allow us to create spring-themed string art in addition to colorful wind chimes.

Art is an outlet for creativity- author unknown.

Letting students create is powerful. Providing students with the materials is step one. Letting them decide on the direction the art will take creates a sense of ownership. Student ownership is more than just engaging. They are actively taking a role in leading. They are also showing you who they are. We look forward to self expression this spring, as we wind the year down.
