This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten students are full of life, especially in the Spring. I teach the butterfly life cycle every year. They love to see caterpillars turn into butterflies.

My students need a butterfly habitat to experience the butterfly life cycle.

We also harvest lima beans and plant marigolds. I believe students learn best if they are actively involved in their learning. I also believe that these lessons will help students appreciate and respect their environment.

The items that I have requested (potting mix, seeds, books, butterfly kit) will help my students learn about the world around them.
