Spring Forward With Beautiful Butterflies in Our Classroom!
Help me give my students painted butterfly kits that will help them create an attractive habitat with enough space for butterflies to flutter around, allowing them to observe their behavior.
My students educational experience of raising butterflies is something that they will never forget. My students will use the Butterflies in the Classroom Kits to explore the life cycle of a butterfly. After the butterflies are fully grown we will celebrate spring time as we release the butterflies into our school garden . Students will watch the transformation day by day from the larvae to caterpillar state all the way through the metamorphosis of a butterfly. They will watch each stage of butterfly development carefully. They will observe how the caterpillar eats and moves, and how it changes features and perhaps color as it grows. They will check on the pupa often so they can release the adult outside soon after it emerges. Students will be able to witness the life cycle of butterflies! This project will hopefully inspire students to gain a better interest in science and in turn create future scientist and doctors.
