My Project
Our school has approximately 600 students in grades 6-8. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that all of the students know everything that is going on and everything that is coming up. This is where the eLeaders come into play! Over the last seven seasons/school years, we have created over 200 episodes of content (even from home during Covid closure).
Through the creation of a newscast for the other students, eLeaders inform, entertain, and celebrate the students of our school!
In the past, we have been lucky to have other projects funded that allow us to have cameras, but they are beginning to break down. A new camera and mic to accompany it will ensure that we can keep the news broadcasting to our school.
Not only does our newscast help the students watching it, but it also helps the students making it. The students creating the newscast learn about time management, deadlines, filming, interviewing, editing, and more!
