My Project
My students love to create things and this project will allow just that.
This project will provide student led crafts that will allow them to explore their creative side, while creating something to make others smiles.
The items we are requesting will bring in new and fun activities that will give my students the opportunity to create things, fully independently, and allow them to spread kindness by giving them to others, whether it be another teacher, people in the community, or somebody who simply needs a smile.
This project will be 100% student led and will benefit others around them. My students will gather all of the materials and create something in order to give back or give a smile to those around them.
My goal for this project is to allow my students to have full creative freedom in creating something that will give back to others. It will be a learning experience for them to see how something that they create can make a big difference. It will allow them to see how important it is to spread kindness and how impactful something that they do can be.
Our school and community have been through so much lately with hurricane Helene and are continuing on an uphill battle and I would love nothing more than for my students to be the light during a dark time or simply during a bad day.
Each of my students has been classified with a disability but my goal is to teach them through their abilities. I use their abilities to help them navigate this work and better prepare them for life outside of school. This project will teach them the importance of independence and kindness.
