Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students want to take action to make our school a more positive, connected place, and they have a plan. With your support, we’d like to launch a school-wide kindness campaign using the MyIntent Maker Kit to create custom bracelets with meaningful words that inspire kindness, courage, and connection.

Students will lead this initiative by inviting peers across grade levels to choose a word that reflects a personal goal, value, or message of encouragement such as “Hope,” “Strength,” “Love,” or “Resilience.” The cards will be used to ask students questions to help them find their word.

Student leaders will then hand-stamp that word onto a bracelet and present it with a handwritten note explaining its significance. These bracelets will be distributed during school-wide kindness events and surprise recognition moments throughout the year.

The MyIntent Maker Kit gives students the tools and materials needed to physically create these wearable messages of encouragement. Each bracelet becomes a symbol of belonging, empathy, and shared humanity. It's a small but powerful way to show someone they matter.

This project is more than arts and crafts. It’s a student-led movement to create a culture of kindness that includes everyone in our school community.
