My Students
I am a Special Education teacher in Canarsie Brooklyn. I teach a self-contained,12:1:1 class and I have students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. My students are eager to learn and full of energy.
Students in my class are compassionate and creative.
As Exceptional learners, having the proper resources is very important to my students, and is truly valued.
My Project
I have been teaching personal hygiene to my class and as a part of the final session I would like to give my students a Christmas present (hygiene travel kit).
Giving my exceptional learners a personal hygiene kit for Christmas will be very helpful for my students.
It will be a great start for their self care.
I want personalize each kit with their name and an inspirational quote. I have made it apart of my job to teach my students the importance of self care and mental health and giving them this as a gift would be the perfect start.
