This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal of this project is to provide updated equipment to ensure a safe and equitable sports training environment.

My students are special because they form a team of special needs students and their non-disabled peers.

Athletes with and without intellectual disabilities play on a sports teams for training and competition, fostering inclusion and friendship. These teammates develop friendships while they train and compete in adapted sports. These friendships eventually extend beyond the field.

Having new equipment will prepare student athletes train for 50 meter dash, javelin toss and standing long jump.
