My Students

Think back to your high school days and ponder the parts of the day that you remember best. For many of you, it will be spending time with your athletics team either before or after the school day. Our scholar athletes need your help to make their teams a reality!

Almost one third of the students at my arts and technology college-prep high school for first generation college-bound students participate in one of our 7 after school sports programs.

We know that being healthy means getting both mental and physical exercise, so we make our sports program as open, welcoming, and collaborative as possible. Athletics serves as a way for us to motivate and engage many of our students who are interested in a college degree but lack some of the immediate drive to do well in all of their classes. Being connected to a coach, team, and program that encourages their success on and off the court/field can make all the difference for our scholars!

My Project

To build a winning sports program, our teams need all the equipment you may have taken for granted when you were in school. Currently many of our teams lack even the basic equipment to ensure a successful season. Our baseball team needs buckets of balls, catchers equipment, skull caps, and other items to ensure our athletes' safety. Our cross country runners need weights, bands, and uniforms to make sure they stay fit and don't injure themselves. Our basketball, soccer, and flag football teams need basic items like balls, cones, and ice-packs. All of our athletes need equipment to help build strength and flexibility.

When you support our athletes, you are supporting their successful journey to college.
