it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our physical education class, having electrical tape and paracord will make a direct, positive impact on student learning and engagement. Electrical tape allows us to quickly repair worn grips on bats, racquets, and paddles, giving students better control and reducing the risk of injury. When students have equipment that feels safe and secure, they’re more confident, focused, and willing to participate—especially those still building their coordination skills. We also use electrical tape to mark temporary boundary lines for games like volleyball, soccer, and pickleball. This helps students clearly understand game rules, spatial awareness, and teamwork—all key parts of physical education standards.
We use paracord to reinforce or reattach volleyball, pickleball, and soccer nets, ensuring our students always have access to playable and safe equipment.
It also helps us hang up student classwork, fitness charts, and motivational visuals around the gym, creating a learning environment that celebrates effort and progress. This visibility boosts student morale and builds a stronger connection to physical education.
What makes our students special is their resilience, energy, and creativity. They show up ready to try, learn, and grow no matter their skill level. Many of them don’t have access to sports equipment at home, so PE is their main opportunity to develop motor skills, teamwork, and confidence. Supplying us with electrical tape and paracord helps us maintain high-quality, adaptable lessons that meet their needs and support their growth in every class.
