Sports Build Confidence

My students need quality bats and tees that will last longer than a season. The baseball team has been sharing their two tees with my students.

My Students

My students are competing in a competitive softball district and our biggest challenge is that we do not have the adequate resources to compete. We are improving every year and by the end of this season, I expect my students to gain confidence and show that they are competition in our district.

My students are freshmen-seniors from a high poverty area.

We are TRULY an inner city school trying to train young athletes as a means to get into college that could not otherwise afford it. They are very sweet girls that are working hard to make a positive name for their school's sports programs. They are very athletic and welcome the opportunity to be taught by coaches who believes in them on and off the field. These girls have the drive to go the distance. They just the need the equipment to assist.

My Project

The students will use the materials to train on the proper mechanics of batting. Once the new bats are broken in, they will mainly be used for games since those are the only bats we have. On the batting tee, we will do various drills to help the improve their upper body mechanics as well as lower body mechanics. The batting tee allows the players to slow down and really fix any mistakes in their swing.

These donations will definitely improve our team sports program,.

Many teams we play against have all types of equipment. Your donations will help my team be on an even playing field with their opponents. It will allow us to be more competitive and draw attention to college coaches. Our goal is to put our athletes into college. Your donations will help us get them there.
