This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Physical Education means much more to my students than just going outside to play.
Our school is small in size but big in heart!
My students love to learn and are especially motivated when learning is fun. Opportunities to learn teamwork and accountability aren't always readily available for my students outside of the school day. They need opportunities to play team sports here at school.
My Project
Getting exercise is important, but it is only one of the benefits we receive from playing team sports. With these various balls and equipment, we will learn to play volleyball, football, dodgeball, and Ultimate Frisbee. Each of these sports requires individual accountability as well as teamwork. Win or lose, my students will learn to work together to succeed.
Your donation to this project will allow me to teach these essential skills during Physical Education, however I know that what they learn will carry over into their academic and behavioral endeavors.
The ability to collaborate with others is an essential skill that will enhance students' lives now and in their futures as they move on to college and/or their careers.
