My Project

My 50 amazing science students will use the 5 subject spiral notebooks as their interactive science journals this school year. My goal for this project is that these notebooks/journals will be a place for my students to house all of their science notes, anchor charts, investigations, labs, and activities in one organized and useful notebook. This organization will be beneficial to the students so they can use it to learn, study, and review the 5th grade critical science content. Students will be able to use their science notebooks/journals to learn, practice, record, review, and ready themselves so they are prepared for the end of the year science assessment and for 6th grade!

My students are special because although they come from a very low socioeconomic background with many hardships, they desire to do well academically.

I believe they understand how important education is in order to break the poverty cycle.

My students are kind, helpful, funny, and work well collaboratively. Our classroom is a happy place where students can be themselves and share their ideas without fear...every thought is valued and every child is accepted for their uniqueness and their individual personalities.
