My Project

I love how curious, creative, and resilient my students are. Whether they’re diving into a new book, solving a mystery, or sharing their voice in our media center, they bring energy and heart to everything they do. They deserve a space that celebrates their growth, encourages their effort, and makes reading feel like a joyful adventure—not just an assignment.

This project transforms our media center into a vibrant hub of motivation, celebration, and inclusive literacy engagement.

The prize wheel and Plinko board turn reading contests into exciting, game-show-style events that recognize effort and spark joy. A reliable electric pencil sharpener keeps our space running smoothly and supports students in their writing and creative work. Bookmarks—whether inspirational, scratch-and-sniff, or DIY—offer students a sense of ownership and creativity while reinforcing reading habits. Sensory stickers and fidget strips provide calming support for students who benefit from tactile input, helping them stay focused and regulated during independent reading. Fun pencils, erasers, and toppers add a layer of excitement to reading logs and literacy activities, making small wins feel special and encouraging reluctant readers to participate. Every item in this project is chosen to help students feel seen, celebrated, and excited to grow as readers.
