This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As an ESL teacher I have a hard time getting my children interesting in reading. I would love for my children to experience the love of reading. I know that an inviting classroom library will do the trick with these children.
I teach a classroom of 25 students at a Title 1 school with 85% of its students receiving free and reduced lunch.
Most of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. They come without pencils, or paper, or folders, but thankfully, they come. Their little shirts aren't always clean, but their faces beam, and their eyes glow with the desire to be noticed and appreciated.
My Project
Please help my children get a library makeover. By having a BIG colorful chair it will be more inviting for the students who want to read in the library. This will help increase their ability to be able to sit and attend better without worrying about another student invading their personal space.
Your help will ensure my students success in reading.
Your help will ensure that my students are in the most optimal learning environment. When children are relaxed, they are better able to truly appreciate the joys of reading and writing.
