Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all bilingual Spanish/English learners. They have incredible family support and that shows in the learning we accomplish every day as partners with kids’ and their communities. They are risk-takers who persevere through challenges at school and in their personal lives. But we are lacking many STEM and STEAM opportunities at our school.

My students are craving more coding opportunities.

I check out materials from our district resource center and public libraries as much as possible, but now it’s time to have some resources housed in our school. I utilize Scratch and Tynker, and this year, our district is rolling out Skill Struck. But now I want to apply all of that knowledge to robots in the classroom.

Help us get Sphero BOLTS and Sphero minis so students can apply their knowledge.
