it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are motivated by the cool things they can do using technology. Our students will begin learning about coding this year. They are thrilled and eager to learn how to code using cool devices like the Sphero. The majority of our students are low-income and never have the opportunity to use new coding devices and are rarely exposed to learning opportunities that relate to technology education.
Our students are fascinated and hopeful to learn coding while having fun with a Sphero.
We are transitioning into a technology driven school and want to motivate our kids with learning opportunities that are enjoyable. We appreciate all the support and thank all of you for your generosity.
My Project
Last year our school began implementing STEM activities. Our students haven't had the opportunity to implement their critical thinking using technology. I want to provide our school with learning opportunities using the 6 different types of Spheros that we requested. We want our students imagination to flourish with the activities that we can implement with the Sphero. They've watched videos and are eager to have a Sphero to work with in our classes.
The donations that we receive motivate our students and provide them with opportunities to apply life-long skills like team-building, problem-solving, critical thinking, and social skills.
Learning to code can lead our students to pursue possible careers in technology. It can ignite other interests that relate to skills that are learned during these activities.
