Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school district created a district-wide Spelling Bee two years ago. Our students joined in the process whole-heartedly! They became very excited and spelling became popular or should I say p-o-p-u-l-a-r?! Students began studying all the time.
We want to reward their dedication and perseverance with medals for placing in the top 3, but also to all participants for giving all that extra effort to compete.
These incentives will show the participants that we value their hard work. They may also inspire more students to become involved. Since the Spelling Bee began our students have improved in Spelling skills overall and we, as a school, are very excited!
