This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am working on expanding my knowledge in the Science of Reading using the Structured Linguistic Literacy approach. The professional development is available online through the EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction) Teacher Training & Student Lessons (ETSL) for Remediation. ETSL for Remediation will support me in effectively and efficiently teaching reading, writing, and spelling to our sub-literate students. With ETSL for Remediation, my TK-6 students' literacy levels should increase resulting in higher test scores and improved student behavior. I will be able to use this training in differentiating small group or individual instruction with students with and without disabilities in my school.
