This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a speech therapy assistant (teacher) at 2 small title one schools. I have 65 kids, ranging from preschool to 8th grade, on my ever growing caseload that need speech therapy services to help with their communication and language skills.
The main things I need are laminator sheets and Velcro dots to create visual schedules and therapy resources to help my students in both the speech therapy room and their general education classroom.
These resources will help each child meet their communication goals on their Individualized Education Plans and help them be more successful in the school environment.
