My Students

As a speech-language pathologist, I work with students from a variety of different backgrounds with speech and language difficulties.

These students have special needs and have been referred by parents or staff to receive extra help in the area of speech/language.

My Project

This project will allow me to provide motivating activities for my students. My students ages range from 3-15, so it can be very difficult to prepare activities when they all have such diverse interests. With these materials, I will be able to better organize my classroom and be able to more efficiently target my student's speech and language goals with motivating materials.

Currently, I do not have very many motivating activities for my students, so toys, games, and books will allow my students to be excited about speech and be excited about practicing in the speech room!

Materials in this project include books that they can relate to (about stuttering, hearing impairments, etc.) as well as activities that my students can use to reinforce their speech/language lessons and goals (visual timers, magnetic letters, sea creatures, etc.).
