Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that I teach are those in need of speech and language services. They are in need of therapy that will help them be successful with speech and language activities both in and out of school. These students are such hard workers and deserve every opportunity to become better and be successful.
The past couple of years have been very difficult for many of these students because of how inconsistent school has been.
It has also been difficult for many of the students with articulation difficulties due to the use of masks and the inability to have visual models for correct articulation.
My Project
These materials will help students by giving them access to materials that will make learning language basics and developing their articulation skills. These materials will increase their access to fun and creative lessons that will stick with them and help them love the process of learning.
These students have been impacted by covid due to unstable learning environments because of shut-downs and quarantines.
The needed use of masks has made it incredibly difficult for students with articulation difficulties, and many of them need lots of extra help to get on level with their peers. These materials will help students in Articulation and Language therapy reach their full potential.
