My Students
Have you ever been ashamed to hang out with your peers because you cant speak like them or relate to them? This is an issue my students face each and every day. They have deficits in their speech and language skills that really hinders them socially, emotionally and academically.
I teach in a Title 1 elementary school, servicing students from grades K-5.
The majority of the students in the school come from poverty stricken homes. The parents of these children are extremely hard working and often are out of the house for many hours of the day working numerous jobs in order to support their families.
My Project
We really need your help to purchase supplies! Recent budget cuts are only making things worse. Despite the tough economic situation, these children still deserve to succeed. We can't say no to our children because there isn't enough money to help them. The supplies and games you donate to us will provide my students with both motivation and necessary materials/manipulatives they desperately need to achieve their speech goals. With these materials they will be able to improve their comprehension skills, expressive language/verbal output as well as their social interaction skills. Please help us raise money to purchase the supplies we so desperately need!
You have the power to make the future what it should be by helping these children.
They are our future leaders and we need to give them the necessary skills to make the world a better place. Please help save our future!
